![]() ![]() The result? Horrible swirls on the sides. I've seen cars washed at very expensive boutique washes with state of the art equipment and guys who use all microfiber towels.tunnel washes people pay upwards of $50 per wash to go through. Thats where the damage is done by an automatic wash, the hood and roof and trunk, higher up on the car where you normally look isn't so much an s down the sides where the cars are really dirty. I bet the sides, especially the lower cladding about wheel height is scratched all to hell. Get a bright light, like pull another car perpendicular to your car and turn on the headlights. I would bet almost anything that you will eventually find scratching. Its just not possible.because the dirt from each car is deposited on those cloths and they get dirtier and dirtier and more and more abrasive. The group operates Wilde Toyota Scion in West Allis, WI, (No.44 on the Ward’s Dealer 500 listing of individual top stores) Wilde Honda (No.109 on the Ward’s 500 ) Wilde Dodge, Jeep. I mean.there is just no way an automatic carwash can be 100% safe.unless the car is pre-sprayed and the cloths are cleaned after every car goes through it. This will really help keep the micro-fine marks out of your paint and preserve the depth of your shine. ![]() One thing to remember when you wash it a home, try drying it with your leaf blower if it is strong enough. Your concerns are legitimate and many cars have lost the mile deep gloss that makes black so nice looking because they went to a car wash running on a shoestring. The end of the line area is staffed with a half dozen guys with no rings, belt buckles or zippers to mark the car and they do the inside as well, clean the windows and dry the whole thing and you're out in less than 10 minutes. The coffee and cookies are good, the rest rooms clean and the dog is welcome. I will not use any other wash because I don't know how clean their cloths are and don't know how much fresh water they use or how well their filters are working. My 460 shows NO ill effects from the wash and I am a convert. He uses it on brand new black cars and there are NO marks on the cars. My dealer built a knock your socks off carwash for his and his customers' use. I have 212 Black on my 460 and had the same reservations expressed here. Thank you Wilde Lexus for making our experience enjoyable.Interesting thread. Damond did a superb job patiently teaching and explaining the intricacies of the car. Lastly, every person at the dealership was friendly to us, especially Kenny Clark the finance manager, and Damond Mills. I am now a proudly loyal customer to Shaun, and he made my experience excellent. He even tailored my test drive for me, and he had me laughing hysterically pulling back into the dealership. And dare I say Shaun made it fun for us? Well, he did. Shaun made us comfortable, and my business was wanted and welcomed. From the moment we stepped onto the lot, he greeted us with a warm smile, and I liked him immediately. ![]() Nobody enjoys buying a car, and if you’re like me, you dread going to a dealership. He focused on me as a customer, and helped me decide which one to purchase. Shaun understood me as a customer, and was patient addressing my questions or concerns. Not only does he know the product, he knew every detail about it. Today, Shaun Mathis made my experience at Wilde hands down incredible.
